Shovel Pro App Reviews

An enjoyable app, always fun reading. The inability to participate, leave comments, etc., is a problem. Aggravating that, which is due to Diggs API, is the alert box that says, in effect, "Yeah, we have a post button but you cant really use it until Digg fixes its API. The "dismiss" button says "Hurrah!" Well, thats not my response after laboriously typing an entry. How about some better interaction here, or at least an alert that comes up before youve squinted your life away typing, rather than after, and kindly can the "Hurrah," will ya? I upgraded from the free version to lose the ads, but more importantly to gain landscape viewing. That was worth the three bux to me. Update- some "pro" this is. Still will not communicate with digg, just hangs. Get out of the 19th century guys. Your shovels burying you. Update 9-1-10 - Now suddeny tells me that "Shovel requires an internet connection to fetch stories from Digg." All my other apps are seeing my WiFi connection just fine, thank you. In terms of interface and now connectivity, this is a total waste of time. Used to be fun (hence the two stars) but no longer.

This app does nothing. Pure junk. The same with shovel for iPad. Digg is a total waste of time, they should shut to web site down!

Ive been a loyal Shovel user for a long time; it was the best app out there for using Digg. But it stopped working entirely when Digg updated its interface. Things happen, I understand, but come on, Shovel. You need to make a statement about this in your description of the app, and let us know whether to hang tight because you have plans to fix it or to move on because you have.

This app hasnt been able to display stories from Digg for a while now. If this isnt permanent, could the app developer update the product description with a status? Ill be deleting the app in a few days if theres no news from you. Update: issue reported as a problem. --

This new icon is ugly and unoriginal. Listen to the people who support your app and bring back the colorful green shovel icon. This one is ugly boring and bland. Ill 5 star as soon as you do. Everyone wants it back.

I used the free version for while and it worked well. I bought the PRO version and it worked for about three weeks and it hasnt worked since. Still shows stories but it doesnt update. It has had the same list if stories for about a month now. I keep waiting for an update but no such luck.

I bought the pro app, which never functioned great but was decent enough. Since the Digg interface change, it doesnt categorize properly but you can still see some stories. I havent used it in 6 months. Came to the app store hoping for an update. I expect this app is dead and should probably be removed from the app store.

Not sure why the developers decided to let this one go. It WAS a good app, not anymore
